Gower Legal has filed a civil lawsuit on behalf of clients who were robbed at gunpoint during a late-night return to their guest accommodations at The Ritz Carlton, St. Thomas.

According to the complaint, our clients were left outside their assigned building while awaiting a replacement room key when multiple assailants emerged and carried out a violent robbery. The lawsuit alleges negligence and gross negligence related to security measures, property conditions, and hiring practices.

Hospitality properties have a duty to implement and enforce reasonable security measures to protect guests, particularly when late-night and remote guest accommodations are involved.

The case is currently pending in District Court.

We remain committed to pursuing accountability where guest safety is placed at risk.
