Had a great time at Family Equality’s Night at the Pier.

There’s something powerful about gathering on the Hudson River, surrounded by the energy of Manhattan, for a cause that has supported LGBTQ+ families since 1979. From parents and parents-to-be looking for guidance to the 5 million kids growing up in LGBTQ+ families, this evening was a reminder of what showing up really means.

New York has always been a place where people come to be seen, heard, and supported, and this event captured that beautifully. Proud to be part of a night centered on community, storytelling, advocacy, and real change for families across the country.

You can start on Greene Street and look up at the cast-iron buildings that make this neighborhood so recognizable. Then wander over to Mercer Street, where design showrooms like bring a little polished, downtown style into the mix.

Need a slower stop? Bookstore on Crosby is always worth it for the shelves, the coffee, and the feeling that you found something good without trying too hard.

For food, on Prince and Mercer is a classic for a reason. It is tight, busy, and exactly the kind of place that still feels like old SoHo.

And if you want a quieter reset, on Wooster is one of those small NYC museums that locals are lucky to have nearby.
