A spill gets mopped up before the ambulance leaves. A torn meniscus takes months. That gap is where most premises cases are won or lost.

✅ Ask for a written incident report, and request a copy
✅ Get the name and number of anyone who saw it
✅ Note whether a warning cone or sign was actually there

"New York is a no-fault state, so there's no case." That is not what no-fault means.

$475,000 — case of a man who sustained back and head injuries as a result of an automobile accident.

Here is the actual rule:
✅ No-fault pays medical bills and some lost wages, whoever caused the crash
✅ No-fault does NOT pay for pain and suffering
✅ Pain and suffering requires the "serious injury" threshold — Insurance Law §5102(d)
✅ Fractures, significant limitation of use, and permanent limitation all qualify
✅ Gaps in treatment are the fastest way to weaken a claim
