If you set up an LLC for your company (or any other business entity), it does not mean you have trademark protection for your logo or business name.

An LLC is a legal business entity to protect your personal assets as the business owner in the event of lawsuits or bankruptcy.

A trademark protects your brand. A trademark identifies your brand, the goods and services you offer, distinguishes your offerings from competitors, and prevents others from infringing on your brand.

Registration for your LLC is usually done with the secretary of state in the respective state you’re registering in and Registration for a federal trademark is done through the USPTO’s office.
