UnLocal, Inc. UnLocal, Inc. seeks to re-imagine the way legal services are delivered to immigrants in New York City.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) organization committed to serving the unmet legal needs of New York City's immigrant communities. committed to serving the unmet legal needs of New York City’s immigrant communities by:

1) Providing and expanding access to legal representation for indigent, especially undocumented immigrants, that is affordable, trustworthy, comprehensive, and multilingual;

2) Educa

ting immigrant communities about their rights under immigration laws, how to best prepare for future immigration proceedings and how to protect themselves against fraud, coercion, and opportunism among private immigration attorneys and unauthorized practitioners of law;

3) Employing holistic advocacy through referral-based case management in collaboration with other service providers, community-based organizations and city agencies; and
Developing special projects to address immigration issues based on community needs and assessments. UnLocal’s multifaceted approach targets all dimensions of integration and addresses longer-term needs: social and political rights, cultural and religious diversity, and citizenship and participation. Ultimately, this approach will lead to increased economic stability in New York City immigrant communities, allowing individuals to realize their full potential.

At UnLocal we believe that all people deserve to live a life with dignity, regardless of immigration status. Our free community closet has been a staple resource for our clients and their families. Our clients are facing an increasingly hostile legal immigration system. Being able to wake up in the morning and feel good about your clothes gives them back that moment of autonomy and self expression that makes all the difference in the world.

Join UnLocal for our new Career Pathways Fair on Thursday August 13th, 2026, from 10AM to 2:30PM. The goal of this fair is to highlight and uplift the skills and experiences of immigrant workers, while providing them with resources and tools from our partner organizations.

We are looking to support workers on their career journeys with services such as one-on-one resume support, worker cooperative information, and GED consultation.
