Each year, the Tendy Competition honors the legacy of William M. Tendyโa Fordham Law alum and longtime prosecutor in the U.S. Attorneyโs Office for the Southern District of New Yorkโwhose career was defined by integrity, discipline, and a deep commitment to public service.
This intraschool โironmanโ tournament challenges competitors to prepare and present both sides of a federal criminal case. Preliminary rounds take place in the Southern District of New York courthouse, where students advocate before distinguished members of the bench and bar, including federal prosecutors, defenders, and judges who reflect Mr. Tendyโs enduring legacy.
We are proud to carry on this tradition and showcase the strength of Fordhamโs trial advocacy program. Special thanks to our 2026 Tendy Editors, Sheeba Pawar and Jennifer Chen, for their leadership and dedication in making this competition possible.
Best of luck to all competitorsโwe look forward to a week of exceptional advocacy.
