Stand-up comedian Simran Rye is STANDING UP and exposing the unlawful quid pro quo s*xual harassment and assault she says she experienced at the Comedy Shop located in the West Village allegedly committed by the club’s owner.

Simran’s courage in coming forward helps protect others by shining a light on alleged predatory conduct and abuse of power in the comedy industry.

Goddard Law looks forward to supporting Simran Rye and her comedy career. Quid pro quo s*xual harassment is not f***ing funny.

A new lawsuit filed by Goddard Law, reported by Newsday, alleges that dancers at a Long Island strip club were pushed into commercial s*x and faced s*xual assault and trafficking in VIP rooms. This is exactly why the law exists: to hold businesses accountable when they profit from coercion, violence, and silence. It is illegal to s*xually assault another person. That includes dancers at strip clubs.

At Goddard Law, we represent people whose workplaces crossed the line, from harassment to assault to trafficking-related coercion. Survivors deserve safety, dignity, and real options.
