😱 Roblox is designed to harm kids as young as 5!! It’s not just a game. It’s a business designed to make money by keeping kids hooked.

The wildly popular online gaming platform puts kids at risk and exploits them for profit by:
⏰Keeping them online
💰Getting them to spend money
⚠️Exposing them to harmful content & predators
❌Subjecting Black & LGBTQ+ youth to disproportionate harms

We urge you to take action ✅ ⬇️

For 30 years, Big Tech has operated with near immunity, while children and vulnerable communities face growing harm online. 📲

📰 In a new article for The Nation, partner Margaret Mabie and federal litigation attorney Yasmine Taeb examine how Section 230 has allowed tech companies to evade accountability, and continue profiting from these harms, even as social media and AI technologies increasingly expose consumers to exploitation and harm.

“Tech created these hazards—not by accident, but by design.”

With “public policy stuck 30 years in the past,” the need for reform has never been more urgent. 🙌

👏 The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) could finally be moving forward after Senator Ted Cruz pledged that the bill will advance through committee and be signed into law this year. ✍

KOSA would help force tech companies to better protect children from online harms including addictive design, cyberbullying, s*xual exploitation, and mental health risks.

We stand with Fairplay in calling for stronger protections for young people online.

📢 US residents can urge Congress to pass a strong version of KOSA via the link below. 🔗👇

Following yesterday’s Epstein hearing in Palm Beach, Special Counsel Jennifer Freeman and Federal Litigation Attorney Yasmine T., joined survivors and advocates for a lunch in recognition of the courage, strength, and resilience shown by those who shared their stories. 💙

As Jennifer Freeman stated:

“We are very pleased that yesterday’s hearing finally featured survivors of Epstein and Maxwell’s abuse, including testimony from our client, Maria Farmer, as the first witness.

She explained that, in response to her 1996 report of Epstein and others to the FBI, the government did absolutely nothing, failing to take action to hold Epstein accountable or prevent nearly 30 years of abuse and trauma inflicted on girls and young women.

Other survivors shared their stories along with specific proposals on how to prevent future government failures. We look forward to the government shouldering accountability for its past failures and to specific legislative, educational, and other efforts to help future children and young women avoid abuse and injury.”

🎥 On NewsNation with Chris Cuomo, Special Counsel Jennifer Freeman raised serious concerns about the DOJ’s handling of the Epstein files and the newly surfaced alleged Epstein note.

Jennifer said the note “needs to be authenticated,” adding that the language itself raised red flags. 🚩

She also spoke out about the continued lack of transparency surrounding the Epstein files: “What we want is transparency for the Epstein victims… and we just are not getting it.”

📢 Jennifer emphasized that survivors should remain at the center of this fight for accountability: “Maria Farmer reported Epstein to the FBI in 1996, and what did the government do? Absolutely nothing.”

📰 "Trump’s DOJ Can Get Us One Step Closer To Ending Child Exploitation. Here’s Where It Should Start."

In 2008, the PROTECT Our Children Act required annual federal reports on prevention, protection, and restitution. Yet despite the rise of child exploitation, fueled by rapid technological growth, these reports have too often been delayed or not submitted.

"Submitting the reports that Congress has required, with candid assessments of the crisis facing our children and meaningful action steps to tackle that crisis, can show that protecting children from exploitation is indeed a top priority.”

Even in today’s political climate, protecting children from exploitation has widespread support across partisan and ideological lines.

Meta now lets parents see the topics their teens ask its AI about, but:
👉 only at a surface level
👉 only for the past 7 days.

That’s not real protection. It’s shifting responsibility onto families instead of fixing the risks.

Parents shouldn’t have to manage this alone, tech companies need to build safer products from the start.

We stand with Fairplay in calling for stronger accountability.

📢 This National Child Abuse Prevention Month, we’re calling for action, not silence. 🤫

As former U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland warned, “Child exploitation and the threats facing children have been exploding in scale, complexity, and dangerousness.”

⚖️ In 2008, the PROTECT Our Children Act required annual federal reports on prevention, protection, and restitution. Despite the rise of child exploitation, bolstered by the technological boom, frequent delays and failure to submit these reports have persisted.

We’re imploring Attorney General Blanch to take action, release the reports, and treat child exploitation like the crisis it is.

Make your mark before National Child Abuse Prevention Month comes to a close. Sign Marsh Law Firm's letter! Demand accountability. 💪
