Our client was hit by a car in Westchester County. They broke their ankle and needed surgery, then faced a long, painful recovery. On top of that, the driver claimed they never saw our client, so they were hurting and also being told it didn’t happen the way they knew it did.

Attorney William Forero stood by them and kept pushing until the driver admitted they had seen our client before the impact. That truth led to a $650,000 settlement, and our client can now focus on healing.

Sam and Dan recently walked for a cure for mesothelioma in Orlando, side by side with survivors, families, and advocates who know this fight firsthand. They have spent the last 20 years sitting across the table from clients whose lives were turned upside down by asbestos exposure that happened decades before their diagnosis.

Every step they took was for those clients, the ones still fighting and the ones we have lost. At Meirowitz & Wasserberg, we will keep standing with mesothelioma families until there is a cure.

$8 Million Negligent Security Recovery for a Mother Attacked in Her Own Home

Our client was stabbed in front of her minor children by an abusive ex who got into her apartment building through improperly secured doors. She suffered horrendously, almost dying when the incident occurred and throughout the recovery. Her trauma and her children's trauma will last a lifetime. She survived but with permanent nerve damage, scarring, emotional distress, and other injuries.

Our team built the case from the ground up, gathering tenant complaints, city violation records, and surveillance footage to prove negligent security. We then won summary judgment on liability, which is very rare in negligent security cases, where fault is almost always left for a jury to decide. That ruling set the stage for an $8 million recovery just prior to trial.

We're proud of the work Sam, Jon, and Kush put into this case, and the tremendous result they got for this deserving client and her family.
