Successful Settlement Alert – Five Full Policy Recoveries for Injured Father & Son

We recently brought to a close an automobile collision case involving a father from Massachusetts and his son from Colorado, traveling together through upstate New York. Their trip turned tragic when a distracted New York driver crossed the double yellow line and slammed into them head-on.

The father suffered a broken wrist and fractured ribs; the son endured two fractured vertebrae.

Our team fought hard—first securing the full policy limits from the at-fault driver’s insurer, then winning additional recoveries through arbitration preparation under the father’s Massachusetts SUM policy and the son’s Colorado excess SUM coverage.

In the end, every insurer paid its full policy limit. We were proud to stand by this family, delivering a swift, maximum recovery so they could focus on healing and moving forward.

The New York Post reported on one of our Firm's significant wrongful death settlements involving a 9-year-old girl whose father tragically lost his life as a passenger in a two-vehicle collision. We alleged the incident was caused by an illegally turning waste management truck and a drunk driver. After 19 days of trial, the case was settled for $4,050,000.

Nearly a decade after her father was killed in a horrific crash, Lailonni Daisy Willis is set to receive a $4M settlement from the trucking company blamed for his death.

We recently represented a young girl who tragically lost her father in a motor vehicle accident caused by a truck driver's negligence, who made an illegal left turn in front of a vehicle driven by an intoxicated individual. The case was settled for $4,050,000 on the 19th day of trial, just as closing arguments were about to begin, when the insurance companies agreed to meet the plaintiffs' demand. According to “Top Verdict,” this settlement is recognized as the third-largest motor vehicle accident settlement in New York State for 2023. We are pleased to have secured a measure of justice for our client in this challenging case.
