Yesterday, October 5, 2026, marked 10 years since I was officially admitted to the New York State Bar. ⚖️

A full decade of practicing law—and a career that has stretched me, challenged me and opened doors I never could have imagined.

So, here are 10 lessons from 10 years as an attorney:

1. It is a privilege. People trust us with their businesses, livelihoods and some of the hardest moments of their lives. I never take that lightly.

2. Hard work really does pay off. There is nothing quite like the thrill of a hard-fought win when you know exactly what it took to get there.

3. This profession can be lonely. The days are long, the pressure is real and sometimes the weight of the responsibility sits solely with you.

4. Good lawyers exist. Despite the stereotypes, I’ve worked alongside brilliant, ethical attorneys who genuinely care about their clients and their work.

5. Being a lawyer changes how you think. You learn to analyze, negotiate, anticipate and see every issue from multiple perspectives.

6. You can be a fierce advocate and still be a good human. Strength and kindness are not mutually exclusive.

7. Being a woman in law still isn’t easy. Add motherhood and raising a family while building a career, and yes—sometimes it still feels like a man’s world. But we belong in these rooms.

8. Your career doesn’t have to fit into one box. Litigation, transactional work, entrepreneurship and now CEO Mom Collective—my law degree has taken me places I never expected.

9. The title matters less than how you carry it. Integrity, preparation, reputation and how you treat people will always matter more than “Esq.”

10. I would still choose it. The long nights, sacrifices, wins, losses and everything in between.

Ten years later, I’m a civil litigator, entrepreneur, founder, wife and mom raising two little girls who get to watch their mother walk into courtrooms and build businesses.

And that might just be the greatest privilege of all.

Here’s to the next decade. ⚖️

There are a lot of new friends around here lately, so I thought it was time for a little reintroduction. Hi! I’m Alessandra.

I’m a New York civil defense litigator, wife, mom of two little girls, entrepreneur, and a woman navigating career, motherhood, faith and ambition—all at the same time.

I went back into full-time litigation in early 2025 after spending some time focused on transactional law, including real estate and business law. Balancing a demanding career while being the present mom and wife I want to be is a constant work in progress!

But there’s a lot more to me than being a lawyer.

This year my husband and I celebrate 11 years of marriage and 14 years together. We have two daughters who are at the center of everything we do.

I’m a first-generation Italian-American who loves keeping our traditions alive, especially through cooking. I also LOVE romanticizing everyday life. Give me a clean house that looks like a Nancy Meyers movie, something cooking on the stove and music playing, and I’m happy. It’s my escape from litigation life. 😆

My Spotify makes absolutely no sense: worship music, Afro tech, house, Italian music and country. 😂 I love working out, spending time with friends and family, and my faith is a huge part of who I am. I’m unapologetic about it. I’m involved in my church, volunteer in ministry and lead a Bible study.

And then there’s The Lawyerista.

This platform has evolved alongside me for almost seven years, opening doors I never expected and connecting me with incredible people.

It also led me to create Faith | Motherhood | Business | Lifestyle a faith-led community providing resources, education and connection for ambitious women, with moms at the center. I also recently launched my e-book, the CEO Mom Method, to help working moms start building something of their own without quitting their 9-to-5.

I am so excited to finally share this because She’s Called to Build: A CEO Mom Life Group is officially happening this fall at my home church: Harvest Time Church in Greenwich, CT!

I wanted to create this group because I know firsthand how lonely and isolating working motherhood can feel, especially when you are also navigating an intense career, building a business, pursuing a dream, or trying to understand what God is calling you to in this season.

We carry so many roles and responsibilities, and sometimes it can feel like no one fully understands what it is like to deeply love being a mom while also feeling called to use the gifts, ambition and purpose God has placed inside of you.

She’s Called to Build is about creating the community so many of us need: A sisterhood of faith-filled women supporting one another through motherhood, careers, business, leadership, family and all the challenges that come with this season of life, while keeping Jesus and Biblical truth at the center of it all.

Together, we’ll study Scripture, learn from women of the Bible, pray together and have honest conversations about how we can navigate the challenges of our lives with the Lord at the center and a community of women beside us. This isn’t about glorifying hustle or adding another thing to our already-full plates. It’s about pursuing what God is calling us to build without losing sight of Who called us in the first place.

Whether you’re a working mom, business owner, entrepreneur, professional woman, navigating a demanding career, considering a new chapter, or simply asking God what He wants you to build in this season, there is a seat for you here.

At 38, I’ve realized that so much of what I thought success was supposed to look like, was never actually mine.

I don’t believe success requires burnout. I don’t believe becoming a mother means I have to become less ambitious. I don’t believe you need to quit your 9-to-5, blow up your life, or take some massive leap of faith just to start building something of your own.

I don’t believe my home needs to look like a stale all one color Pinterest board to be beautiful. I don’t believe I need to fit neatly into one box. Lawyer. Mom. Wife. Entrepreneur. Woman of faith. Creative. Ambitious. Homebody. I can be all of her.

And I definitely don’t believe in this perfectly curated version of “balance” anymore.

Some days I’m crushing it at work and ordering dinner. Some days I’m completely present with my girls and the emails can wait. Some seasons require more of me professionally. Other seasons remind me that these years with my family are moving way too quickly.

Maybe growing up is realizing that success was never about doing everything perfectly.

It’s about building a life that actually feels like yours.

Not Instagram’s.
Not society’s.
Not the version everyone else expected you to become.

Yours.

And at 38, I think I’m finally figuring out what mine looks like. 🤍

Kinda chic…

So grateful for where I am today. The journey was not easy. Late nights, tears, stress, sleepless nights—but by the Grace of GOD, here we are.

I get to do both—a successful attorney and present mom and wife.

I used to be complain, I used to strive, I used to be weary in pushing forward. But Jesus stored me and gave me a fresh perspective. I am grateful for the journey and hopeful for the things yet to come. 🤍🙏

She Loved Jesus & Her Country too. 250 years. 🇺🇸❤️

How blessed we are to live in a nation founded on the God-given truth that freedom is a gift—not from government, but from our Creator.

Our forefathers stood with extraordinary courage, believing that liberty was worth fighting for and that our rights came from God alone.

Because of their sacrifice, generations after them have been able to worship freely, speak boldly, raise our families, build businesses, pursue our callings, and dream without fear.

America has never been perfect. No nation is. But I will always be grateful to live in a country where freedom still gives us the opportunity to seek God, serve others, and leave a legacy for the next generation.

This weekend, as we celebrate 250 years, my prayer is that we never take those blessings for granted. May we continue to be a people who seek truth, protect liberty, and remember that “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” Psalm 33:12.

Happy 250th Birthday, America.

May God continue to bless this nation. 🇺🇸❤️

Monday wasn’t just a dinner.

It was a moment.

A reminder of exactly why I created CEO Mom Collective.

I wanted to create a room where ambitious women feel safe. Women who are mothers, wives, partners, daughters, sisters, and leaders. Women who pursue big dreams while loving their families deeply.

Because legacy isn’t just about what you leave behind financially. It’s about the lives you impact, the courage you inspire, the example you set, and the way you make people feel.

I’m a lawyer by day, but that isn’t what defines me. The titles I hold and the work I do aren’t what I hope people remember.

What matters most is whether I lived out the purpose God placed on my life.

And if part of that purpose is encouraging other women to step boldly into theirs, then that is an assignment I will gladly accept.

Monday night reminded me that these aren’t just dinners.

They are rooms where women are seen.

Heard.

Encouraged.

Challenged.

Celebrated.

Where meaningful relationships are built and women realize they don’t have to choose between ambition and motherhood.

When the right women gather around the right table, something powerful happens.

Thank you to every woman who said yes to being in the room. Your stories, vulnerability, wisdom, and encouragement made the evening unforgettable.

And a heartfelt thank you to Ana of Memories by Ana Photography for beautifully capturing every detail, every conversation, and every special moment. Through your lens, we’ll always be able to relive what was so much more than a dinner.

Not sure I even have the words to fully capture what tonight’s CEO Mom Collective event felt like.

A year ago, I remember sitting with nothing more than an idea, a prayer, and a vision for a community. A place where ambitious women could gather without judgment. A place where motherhood, career, business, dreams, struggles, faith, success, and failure could all exist in the same room.

CEO Mom Collective isn’t just for mothers.

It’s for the woman who refuses to shrink.

The woman building a career, a business, a family, a dream—or simply rebuilding herself.

The woman who is unapologetically ambitious.

We are women with big hearts, big dreams, and even bigger faith in what is possible.

We are the women who answer the phone when someone is struggling.

The women who sit on the bathroom floor beside a friend while she cries.

The women who remind each other who we are when we’ve forgotten.

The women who celebrate each other’s wins as loudly as our own because we know there is enough room at the table for all of us.

Tonight wasn’t about networking.

It wasn’t about business cards.

It wasn’t about titles.

It was about connection.

Real connection.

Every story shared. Every vulnerable moment. Every tear. Every laugh. Every dream spoken out loud.

We sat with the fear, the baggage, the disappointments, the lessons, and the victories.

And we honored them all.

Tonight was a reflection of the kind of women I prayed would find this community.

Strong.

Compassionate.

Driven.

Authentic.

Women who show up for each other.

Women who refuse to do life alone.

My heart is incredibly full tonight.

Thank you to every woman who walked through those doors and made this evening what it was.

And most importantly, a huge thank you to Danielle and her team, owner of Butter + Brie for perfectly curating this evening and bringing my vision to life. Tonight was perfectly crafted and it wouldn’t have been possible without you. This will be hard to match—I am forever grateful.
