THE NEW POST CONVICTION RELIEF ASSOCIATES WEBSITE IS NOW LIVE

We have completely rebuilt the Post Conviction Relief Associates website to provide incarcerated individuals and their families with better information, clearer direction, and practical tools for exploring possible avenues of relief.

This is not simply a redesigned website. It is an expanded post-conviction resource center created to help families understand what options may exist, what information must be reviewed, and what steps may come next.

VISIT OUR NEW RELIEF NAVIGATOR

One of the most important additions is the PCRA Relief Navigator.

The Relief Navigator allows families to enter basic information about their loved one’s conviction, sentence, jurisdiction, procedural history, and current circumstances. Based on that information, the Navigator can identify potential avenues that may warrant further examination, including:

• State post-conviction relief
• Federal habeas corpus relief under 28 U.S.C. §§ 2241 and 2255
• Direct appeals and delayed appellate remedies
• Sentence modifications and sentence reductions
• Compassionate release
• State and federal clemency or commutation
• Parole and probation-related remedies
• Institutional transfers
• Medical, safety, and other prison-related concerns

The Navigator also explains which records and documents would be needed to determine whether a potential option is actually available. Depending on the case, those documents may include the judgment and sentencing order, charging documents, plea agreement, trial or plea transcripts, sentencing transcript, appellate decisions, prior post-conviction filings, discovery, attorney files, medical records, institutional records, and other case-specific materials.

The Relief Navigator is intended to give families a meaningful starting point—not a generic answer. Any potential avenue must be confirmed through a complete review of the relevant records, procedural history, governing law, and applicable deadlines.

REQUEST A FREE CASE REVIEW

Families can now submit information through our website and request a free initial case review.

Our dedicated Case Review Team examines the information and available records, identifies missing documents, researches potential avenues of relief, and determines whether a more comprehensive review may be appropriate.

When sufficient records are available, our review process may result in an Official Legal Summary explaining:

• The relevant case background and procedural history
• The documents and information reviewed
• Potential legal or administrative issues identified
• Possible post-conviction or sentence-relief avenues
• Important limitations, procedural concerns, or missing records
• Additional documents required for confirmation
• Whether Post Conviction Relief Associates may be able to assist

Every case is different. We do not promise results, and the existence of a possible remedy does not mean that relief is guaranteed. Our purpose is to provide families with an organized, evidence-based assessment so they can better understand the case and make informed decisions.

EXPLORE OUR EXPANDED KNOWLEDGE CENTER

The new PCRA Knowledge Center provides understandable information about the post-conviction process and the different forms of relief that may be available after conviction or sentencing.

Visitors can learn more about post-conviction petitions, appeals, habeas corpus, sentence modification, compassionate release, clemency, parole, institutional transfers, prison-related concerns, and other issues affecting incarcerated individuals.

We are continuing to expand this resource so families can find reliable information without having to sort through confusing statutes, court terminology, and incomplete internet answers.

FOLLOW CHANGES THROUGH OUR LAW AND POLICY RESOURCES

Post-conviction law does not remain static. Court decisions, statutes, sentencing rules, correctional policies, executive actions, and administrative procedures can change the options available to incarcerated individuals.

Our website has been expanded to help visitors follow important developments involving:

• State and federal post-conviction law
• Sentencing laws and guideline amendments
• Clemency and commutation policies
• Compassionate-release standards
• Parole and probation developments
• Prison policies and institutional conditions
• Newly recognized or expanded avenues of relief
• Criminal justice reform measures

JOIN THE PCRA SUBSCRIBER LIST

Visitors can now subscribe to receive updates prepared by the PCRA Legal Research and Policy Team.

Subscribers will receive information concerning significant legal and policy developments, sentencing changes, newly announced programs, important court decisions, clemency developments, prison-policy updates, educational resources, and other matters that may affect incarcerated individuals and their families.

Our subscriber list is designed for families who do not want to discover an important change months after it occurred. When meaningful developments arise, our goal is to explain what changed, who may be affected, and what records or information may be needed to evaluate whether the development applies to a particular case.

ADDITIONAL WEBSITE FEATURES

The new website also includes:

• Expanded state and federal relief information
• Guided explanations of the post-conviction process
• Case-specific document guidance
• Resources for families preparing for a case review
• Information concerning prison conditions and institutional issues
• Options for reporting medical, safety, transfer, and correctional concerns
• Clear descriptions of the services offered by PCRA
• Easier ways to submit case information and contact our team
• Continuing legal, sentencing, and policy updates

Families often know that something may be wrong but do not know where to begin. They may not know which remedy applies, which records matter, whether a deadline has passed, or whether a prior filing affects the available options.

The new PCRA website was built to help answer those questions.

Visit the new website, use the Relief Navigator, explore the Knowledge Center, join our subscriber list, and submit a request for a free case review.

A conviction or sentence should never be evaluated through assumptions alone. The records must be examined, the procedural history must be reconstructed, and every legitimate avenue must be carefully considered.

Hey everyone! We have a new Blog post regarding Why Post Conviction Relief Petitions Fail. Go over to our website and take a peak to gain some insight for you or your loved one! www.postconvictionreliefassociates.com

A sentence may punish a person for past conduct — but it should not permanently erase the possibility of growth, rehabilitation, accountability, or redemption.

Some of the most transformed individuals are people who have spent years confronting their past, educating themselves, mentoring others, rebuilding family relationships, and preparing for a second chance at life.

Rehabilitation is real. Human beings are capable of change.

The justice system should always leave room for that truth to matter.

Do you believe rehabilitation and personal growth should matter when reviewing long prison sentences?

Share this if you believe second chances matter.

Change Is Coming — And It Could Mean Freedom for Thousands
There is a quiet storm brewing in the American justice system—and it could create real opportunities for early release, sentence reductions, and second chances.

Clay Higgins has introduced legislation (H.R. 3344) that would abolish the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and transfer responsibility for all federal inmates to individual states. This proposal is historic. If passed, it would reshape incarceration in the United States.

There are currently nearly 200,000 people in federal prison. If the BOP is eliminated, those individuals will need to be placed in state-run facilities. But here’s the truth: most state systems are already overcrowded.

So what happens next?

➡️ States would be forced to act—they would need to release or divert tens of thousands of inmates.
➡️ The only way to make room is by accelerating releases of existing state inmates through clemency, parole, sentence modification, or alternative supervision.
➡️ New programs, policies, and incentives for early release would likely emerge just to manage the numbers.
➡️ State and federal momentum toward reform will multiply—opening the door for families who have been waiting years to be heard.

This is not a crisis. It’s an opportunity. And it’s not the only one.

President Donald Trump has just announced plans to issue clemency for 10,000 federal inmates. Whether you agree with the politics or not, this announcement pushes clemency and criminal justice reform back into the national spotlight—and sets the tone for what other leaders may follow, including state governors and parole boards.

Now is the time to get your case in front of the right people—before these reforms are finalized.

Post Conviction Relief Associates Is Built for This Moment
We help incarcerated individuals and their families fight for early release and post-conviction justice—in both state and federal systems.

We understand the law, the timing, and the strategy behind every form of relief available. We research, we write, and we prepare powerful legal documents. We never stop pushing for freedom.

Our Services Include:
✔️ Wrongful Conviction Litigation
✔️ Direct Appeals in State and Federal Courts
✔️ Habeas Corpus Petitions
✔️ Sentence Modification Requests
✔️ Compassionate Release Filings
✔️ Clemency & Pardon Petitions
✔️ Transfer Requests and Facility Advocacy
✔️ Institutional Issue Representation (SHU, medical neglect, retaliation)
✔️ Reentry Planning & Advocacy Support

✅ And right now, we’re offering full case reviews completely free. No cost. No obligation. Just answers.

Whether your loved one is serving five years or Life, we believe in second chances—and we work tirelessly to make them possible.

Why This Could Be the Best Chance You've Had:
If you're reading this, you're already ahead of the curve. While others wait and see, we’re preparing, filing, and creating relief strategies that align with the changing legal landscape.

For state inmates, this proposed federal policy shift could be the very thing that creates room for their release. The only way for state governments to absorb more people is to send others home. That means families may finally see long-awaited reunification, faster parole, and earlier release eligibility.

For federal inmates, this may be a once-in-a-generation opportunity. Mass commutations, expanded clemency criteria, and transfer options may soon become tools of policy, not just theory.

This Moment Was Built for Action—Not Waiting
The justice system may finally be forced to acknowledge what we’ve known for years: we’ve locked up too many people, for too long, with too little regard for their humanity.

But hope isn’t enough. You need a team that knows how to win.
