People ask me all the time, what my favorite flower is and my usual response is the ones with petals. 😄 It is so hard to pick just one, but if you look around the farm, one that particularly stands out is the hydrangea.

God puts so much beauty in these blooms — and honestly, they hold a special place in my heart. 💜

So how do you make that beauty last? If you've ever tried to dry hydrangeas and ended up with brown crumbly petals (guilty 🙋‍♀️), here's what changed everything — timing. Wait until the petals feel slightly papery on the plant before cutting. Then choose your method:

🌸 Vase drying — stems in a few inches of water, let it slowly evaporate over 2-3 weeks

🌸 Hang drying — bundle 3-5 stems upside down in a dark, dry spot

🌸 Silica gel — the extra step that keeps color most vibrant (find it at any craft store!)

Most importantly, keep them out of direct sunlight — that's the color killer.
