Many of our clients are feeling unprecedented levels of anxiety, fear and frustration given the current pandemic related to COVID-19. Given these difficult circumstances, we at Diana L. Kidd, P.C. want our clients to be aware that they continue to be legally bound by the custody and visitation terms of their current Orders. This situation is extraordinary and problematic for all and it is imperative for parents to amicably work in cooperation with each other to continue to provide the safest situation for their children and to lessen the burden and stress for all. If parents agree to temporarily change their parenting time schedule or location set forth in their Order, in an effort to avoid future conflict please memorialize the agreed upon changes in writing that evidences the confirmed consent of each parent.

In order to be consistent with directives from the CDC and NY state mandatory regulations limiting the workforce, we are currently out of the office and working remotely. We are closely monitoring our email and voicemail during this time. Diana L. Kidd, P.C. is a Law Firm with a primary practice in Family and Matrimonial Law in New Paltz, New York. We are seeking a Paralegal to join our legal team. Applicant must be detail oriented, professional and capable of working independently and with a team.

Candidate must have the following qualifications:

Paralegal Certificate required

A valid NYS Driver’s License

At least one year Paralegal experience in the area of Family/Matrimonial Law

Must be computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook

Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment

Must have excellent communication skills and handle direct client contact with professionalism and confidence

Duties include but are not limited to:

Drafting pleadings and correspondence, calendaring appointments, file organization, gathering and preparing discovery documents, client communication, interfacing with court staff and other law firms, occasional dictation, trial preparation, preparation of motions, drafting orders, statements of net worth, petitions, legal research, etc. Knowledge of real estate closings and estate planning a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Salary commensurate with experience.
