Sometimes people are surprised to hear one of my favorite hobbies is skiing.

Because here’s the thing—it’s not all confidence and clean runs.
Sometimes you’re nervous. Sometimes the conditions change. Sometimes you don’t see what’s coming next.

Trial work is the same way.

You train your body.
You train your mind.
You prepare every angle you can prepare.

And then… you do it scared anyway.

You stay flexible. You adjust. You don’t freeze when the terrain shifts. You trust the work you put in—and you keep moving forward.

That’s skiing.
That’s trial law.
And honestly, that’s life when things get hard.

I just got back from a conference that was… a lot.
Bright colors. Loud music. Screens flashing numbers that turned people into revenue streams.

And it reminded me why I do this work differently.

Because behind every “metric” is a human who’s hurt, scared, overwhelmed, and trying to hold their life together.
You can’t spreadsheet that.
You shouldn’t try.

I’m not here for flash.
I’m here for clarity, honesty, and real partnership with real people.

If that makes my work quieter—so be it.
Humans deserve more than hype.
