🏗️ Our Irish Channel New Construction Project Is Taking Shape!

The nail guns are popping, the saws are rolling, and we’re officially framing!

This property started with a severely fire-damaged house that was in bad enough condition that we received approval from the historic district to demolish it. After a very careful demolition, we drove pilings, poured the foundation, and now the first-floor walls of the new house are going up.

The finished home will be 2 stories with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a great floor plan, and off-street parking.

❤️ Giving Back With Every House We Buy

We've committed to donating $100 for every house we buy, and we're proud to continue this commitment month after month.

🏠 4 Closings. 1 Day. What a Day!

We had a little bit of everything happening:

🏡 Sold 2 of our flips
🏗️ Closed on a construction loan for a vacant lot we already own — we’ll be sharing more about this project soon, so stay tuned!
🔑 Helped a friend sell a rental property after they decided they were ready to move on from being a landlord. We connected them with another investor we knew, put together a fair deal, and everyone walked away happy.

It was definitely a hectic day. We had some last-minute negotiations, closing times getting moved around, and plenty of running back and forth.

But we got it all done. Four closings and four happy outcomes. 😊

Not a bad way to finish the month!

21 Years Since Hurricane Katrina

August 29 marked 21 years since Hurricane Katrina changed New Orleans and the Gulf Coast forever.

For me, Katrina also changed the direction of my life. Hurricane Katrina was the reason I was transferred to New Orleans. What started as a transfer eventually became home, and more than 20 years later, I'm still here and proud to be part of this community.

Today, we remember those who were lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the incredible resilience of New Orleans.

21 years later, we remember. ❤️

You never know what you're going to find when you go look at a house.

We came across this MASSIVE satellite dish in the backyard and had to get a picture. We’ve seen a lot of interesting things in and around houses over the years, but this one definitely caught our attention.

Anybody else remember when these giant dishes were a thing? 😂
