📃Obamacare Open Enrollment Ends December 15th!📃
Obamacare open enrollment began November 1st and runs through Dec. 15 so now is the time to enroll or adjust your current healthcare policy. If you need coverage or if you’d like to shop your options to see if better plans are available, login to healthcare.gov today to see what is available.
Before you log in, consider these tips:
Even if you’re happy with your current policy it’s smart to login to see what’s new as many carriers have expanded their footprints
· Premium subsidies are changing next year so be sure to input your projected 2019 income to get an updated estimate of your premiums
· If you have a special relationship with your doctor, be sure they still participate in the plans you are considering
· If you take no action during Obamacare open enrollment, you’ll be automatically re-enrolled in your current policy — or if that’s being discontinued, into a similar policy
· Changes made during open enrollment will go into effect January 1, 2019
Finally, many people don’t know that the penalty attached to the individual mandate goes away for 2019. That means you will not suffer a tax penalty if you go uninsured. Obviously, we hope everyone is covered so shop your options and choose what is affordable for you and your family.
