Our close friend Jedda Jones. the brilliant comedienne, actress, producer, and prolific writer. passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 73 after a long illness. Jedda lived life with an unmatched generosity and a beautifully big spirit. She worked hard, dreamed even bigger, and truly knew how to enjoy every moment. Whether she was traveling the world, collecting art, hitting a lucky streak at the casino, or hosting her legendary Mardi Gras gatherings, she brought pure joy to everyone around her. She was a dedicated supporter of HBCUs through her beloved tradition, the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage. And for anyone lucky enough to witness her famous Beyoncé dance at the Sky Shows, you know Jedda always gave us that perfect touch of lagniappe.
