⚖️ New Class Action Filed: Protecting Tulane Workers After Back-to-Back Data Breaches

(New York) in a newly filed federal class action, Anderson v. Drivestream, Inc. and Tulane University, Case No. 2:26-cv-01075 (E.D. La.). The lawsuit arises from two data breaches that exposed the personal and financial information of current and former Tulane University employees. The defendants — Drivestream, Inc. and Tulane University — are alleged to have failed to adequately protect sensitive employee data and to have delayed notifying victims for months (and in Drivestream's case, over a year) after discovering the breaches. As a local New Orleans attorney, Garret is committed to holding institutions accountable when they fail to protect the personal information of the people who keep them running. Nine years ago, I became a partner at Bizer & DeReus with Andrew Bizer. Today was my last day.

In that time, we fought for people who needed it most — individuals with disabilities, inmates, people wrongfully arrested, people failed by institutions that should have protected them. We took on the City of New Orleans, Jefferson Parish, Uber, the Superdome, hospitals, nursing homes, and colleges. We won at the Fifth Circuit. We took cases to trial. We changed things.

While our partnership is ending, the work isn't. Andrew will continue fighting for wheelchair users at The Bizer Law Firm, and I will be handling a diverse docket of cases — civil rights, wrongful death, nursing home abuse, prisoner rights, and more — as Senior Litigation Attorney at Bey & Associates, LLC.
