Arguments over which bathroom is appropriate for the transgender community has been a heated discussion over the past few weeks. Over the past few years the transgender activism has become a mainstream topic.
Here’s a small scope of the anti-transgender bathroom laws:

North Carolina: Everyone must use the bathroom matching the s*x on their birth certificate. It’s still unclear how this law will be enforced.

South Carolina: There’s a bill — not a law yet — that would limit which bathrooms transgender people can use. So do several other states.

Tennessee and Virginia: An anti-trans bathroom bill was introduced, but failed, and will likely come up again in a few months. A similar law just failed in Virginia.

Some cities have ordinances (city-level laws) banning trans people from using the facilities that match their gender identity, like Houston, Texas. And some school districts have rules that force trans students to use bathrooms and locker rooms that match the s*x listed on their birth certificate.

Some people argue that this may be a chance for rapists and criminals alike to invade the privacy of little children and women.

Other people argued that a public bathroom for all genders should be added for disabled adults, trans-gendered community, etc.

What are your thoughts about the new heated discussion in regards to an all gender bathroom?

A new juvenile detention center recently opened in New Orleans near Bayou St. John. The 59,000-square-foot facility was constructed with money from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, insurance, city bond funds and law enforcement district bond funds, according to the city's website. The $47 million dollar detention center will house boys and girls under the age of 18, it also serves as the new home of Orleans Parish Juvenile Court and other juvenile-related services such as the district attorney's office and the public defender's office. Citizens of NOLA have been commenting on Fox8 news and NOLA.com to announce their disagreement about the new detention center. What are your thoughts? Do you believe the detention center is beneficial or a waste of money? We want to hear your thoughts
