In the same light, your maritime injury case is very specialized with unique laws to protect your rights. You wouldn't want a general personal injury lawyer, you'd want (and need) attorneys with experience practicing maritime and Jones Act law every day. June is National Safety Month and an important reminder that workplace safety is a priority.

For maritime workers, safety is not just a rule or a sign posted on the wall. It is the difference between a crew member making it home after a hitch offshore, a longshoreman finishing a shift without injury, or a family getting the phone call no one ever wants to receive.

Safety depends on more than individual caution. It depends on proper training, maintained equipment, clear communication, responsible supervision, and worksites that do not ignore known hazards.

When those responsibilities are overlooked, the consequences can be serious and life-changing.

The Port of New Orleans is the first stop to welcome the tall ships of the world for a nationwide celebration of America's 250th anniversary.

As SAIL 250 brings ships to the Mississippi Riverfront, it is a reminder of how much the river and the Gulf have shaped our city, our work, and our families. For generations, people across Louisiana have made their living on the water, working on vessels, docks, shipyards, offshore jobs, and along the river. It is hard work, and much of it happens out of sight.

At The Young Firm, we are proud to be part of a community with such a strong maritime history, and we are honored to stand with the workers and families who keep that tradition going.

Today we recognize the men and women who keep our waterways moving. Maritime workers play a vital role in our economy and our daily lives — often facing challenges and risks most people never see.

We’re proud to support and advocate for those who work on the water every day. Happy National Maritime Day.

Big numbers don’t always tell the full story.

Some law firms include mass torts and class actions in their ‘results’ — even though those cases are completely different from maritime claims.

If you’re a maritime worker, what matters is experience with cases like yours. That’s exactly what you’ll find in our case results:
