Typically I try not to post closings and sales of my customers. I want the realtors and the clients to celebrate their journey. I'm never trying to detract from the moment from a lowly sales rep. But this closing meant a lot to me and I want to tell the tale of perseverance , faith, determination, and tireless of effort that culimanated in home ownership and closing today. This is the story of Keon Chapman IconAdvice Keon Chap Brooks .
My relationship with Clatrina Monroe | RVA Realtor & Credit Expert Clatrina Monroe has existed well over three years and we have done more deals that we can count. Loads of incredible stories and loads of wonderful people have purchased their first home with Clatrina and she is an incredible realtor. A fighter, a straight shooter, and credit repair savant. I have watched her grow from an agent to opening her own brokerage. All the while grinding and fiercely advocating for her clients. I consider her a great friend .
We met Keon late last year. And we set the closing date on his home for March 2026. I had been to an event and heard Keon speak about faith and determination. It was captivating . Keon expressed his values again and again and I couldn't wait till he achieved his next goal of homeownership.
As we approached March and beyond, it became clearer that the loan would be trickier than most. Not because of lack of income or anything like that as Keon had multiple jobs. Some paid via W2 and some 1099. Both of which have taxes filed differently. It looked bleak for many moments having seen that we could use some income here but not others here. Refining taxes became necessary. Keon would call and fight with the IRS for weeks and weeks...every single day for docs , and repayment plans. It even looked like we would lose the house he so loved. But his realtors, LO, and his team fought to protect his lot because we believed in Keon. We protected his lot for 5 months and NOW he is in his dream house. He never waivered in his drive , in his faith, and in his team. When people work this hard to achieve their goals, it is inspirational . I have sold over 700 houses, but this one sticks out to me. Keon congrats! Thanks for inspiring me!
