As the year ends, we want to share our reflections on what we are thankful for, and recognize all the people, clients, colleagues, mentors and friends alike that have been instrumental in helping our firm. In 2022 we were able to serve more clients than ever before, and in doing so actualize the goals we set for the year.

We are proud to have gained six new team members this year, including three new attorneys, Alexandra Ritter, Courtney Parsons and Ryan Scopelliti, and three new paralegals, Sofia Ladereche, Patricia Jimenez, and Allison Gaetano. Each individual team member’s quality and dedication allows us to keep delivering on the representation we promise to our clients.

This year marks the start of our externship and summer associate program. We have been inspired by all the talented law students who are eager to join our profession, and feel privileged to help them gain practical legal experience. Our continued growth and strength as a firm relies on attracting and integrating young attorneys into our team.

Our fortunes, however, do not come without great loss, and that is in the passing of our remarkable friend and colleague, Mitch Teta. Mitch was a force who embodied and reinforced all of the values of our organization. We will always be poorer in his absence, but will strive to honor his legacy and commitment to helping people through difficult times.

In 2023, we look forward to continuing to serve clients and strengthening our team. Happy holidays to everyone and best wishes for health and happiness in the new year!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our attorneys, Mitchell Teta. Mitch courageously fought cancer for the past 19 months. Mitch was a brilliant lawyer and wonderful person. He had an impact on countless lives through his decade of work as a family law attorney.

If you were a client of Mitch’s, or were otherwise impacted by him, we invite you to share your thoughts about Mitch by emailing us at [email protected]. We hope to pass these messages on to Mitch’s wife, Sarah, and his young daughter, Reese.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 30th at 11 a.m., meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, CT.
