Happy Star Wars Day everyone!! To help us all celebrate this holiday we thought we would give you some star wars/workers comp crossover trivia! Okay ready? This is where the fun begins!
1)In Episode IV: A New Hope, a bounty hunter named Greedo hired by Jabba the Hutt confronts Han Solo in the Mos Eisley Cantina and tries to take him to Jabba to pay his debt. Han shoots Greedo and kills him. Would Greedo's death qualify as a workers' compensation claim?
2)In Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker loses his hand while fighting Darth Vader for the Rebel Alliance. He ends up getting a prosthetic hand, would that prosthetic be covered by the workers' compensation carrier?
3)In Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, we first see the true face of Darth Sidious (if watching the films in chronological order) and it is rather severely scarred. If that scarring was caused by an altercation during his employment for the Empire, could he be eligible to receive any financial benefit through a workers' compensation claim?
4)In Episode I: The Phantom menace, the Gungans team up with the Naboo to help fight the Trade Federation. Now that they are employed by the Rebel Alliance, would any injuries sustained by Gungans qualify them for temporary disability benefits while they recover and can return to battle?
5)In Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Han Solo's team destroys the shield generator allowing them to blow up the battle station on the forest moon of Endor and injure tons of storm troopers in the process. Would the Empire be responsible for covering all of the workers' compensation claims filed by injured storm troopers?
If you guys didn't know the answers to any of these questions, then you definitely need a workers' comp attorney and should call us if you get hurt at work.
However, if you didn't understand any of these movie references, that is an even bigger issue and you should binge watch them all today in honor of Star Wars Day.
May The Fourth Be With You!

For those of you that don't know, last night was the first round of the 2026 NFL draft.
Football is an important part of American culture as it serves a massive purpose for our economy and is a vital part of community bonding all over the country. Almost everyone loves football, but what many people don't know is the large role that law actually plays in the sport. Law is a critical part of the NFL. It monitors and governs things like player conduct, labor relations between the league and the players' union, contract compliance, and the structural format for salary caps. It ensures that all players follow the disciplinary rules of the sport and can stay safe while bringing us that timeless entertainment we all know and love. We try to do those same things for our clients in our own area of practice. We monitor their cases and review contracts carefully to ensure that they are being treated fairly under workers' compensation law. We accurately calculate their average weekly wage based on their salaries so that their workers' compensation benefits are at the correct rate and they can be properly compensated for their injury while out of work. We fight to ensure that all laws and medical guidelines are followed so that each person in our care is safe and gets the treatment they need to recover from their injury. Many people feel that the workers' compensation system is like a game in that it requires serious strategy and understanding to navigate the field. If you are struggling and need someone on your team, call us today, because we at Wugman and Wugman are suited up and ready to play. 🏈Congratulations to everything that has been and will be drafted this year, we are rooting for you!🏈

In honor of all the snow we have gotten recently, this post is meant to make everyone aware that a seasonal job still qualifies for workers’ compensation. Anyone who works in fields revolving around cleaning and clearing snow or salting the roads, even if you only do it during this season, if you were to suffer an injury on the job, it still qualifies for works compensation. Call us to learn more about your rights as a seasonal worker. Allow us to defend you as a thank you for doing your part in keeping our community safe in this weather.

Hello everyone and Happy Halloween!
Since Halloween falls on a Friday this year and we are sure you all have fun Halloween costume parties to go to tonight, we thought we would host our own little mini Halloween party right here in this post.
That being said, thank you for joining us! If you are a werewolf please don't worry, you are safe to join our party as there is no full moon tonight. If you are a vampire, we cordially invite you to enter. Please help yourselves to the refreshments 🍫🍭and spirits🍾🥂provided by the ghosts. 😜👻
Now, let's be honest, what's a party without some party games?
Let's play a classic to get this party going: Would you rather, but with a spooky workers' compensation theme because of course we need to stay on topic here.

1) Would you rather: Break your leg while working or tweak your back while working?

2)Would you rather: Retain Wugman and Wugman to help guide you through your workers' comp claim or navigate the horrors of a comp claim on your own?

3)Would you rather: Have to get surgery to fix your injury with a quick recovery or have to do months of PT to fix your injury but avoid surgery?

4)Would you rather: Call us and do your consultation over the phone or make the trek to our office and meet with us in person?

5)Would you rather: Leave your case partially open with the daunting idea that your injury isn't resolved and you might need more treatment in the future or take the plunge to close it for possibly some extra $$ but knowing you won't ever get covered treatment again?

Phew! Those are some spooky inquiries don't you think?

Okay you guys, mull those over and if you are feeling bold, post your answers in the comments!

Now to send you off, lets play one more party game: Two truths and a lie!

Here are three statements about the Wugman and Wugman team and our workers' compensation experience, comment below which one YOU think is the lie🤔:

1)We have helped over 1,000 people navigate their workers' compensation claims.
2)We never answer our office phone and only communicate using messenger pigeons that bring letters back and forth with our clients that are written in code. The key to deciphering the code is provided to the client at the time of signing retainer paperwork with us.
3)We have handled various types of cases, some defending the injured party, meaning the employee, and others defending the employer if they don't have workers' comp insurance (now THAT is scary).

Okay, cast your votes below!
Thank you so much for joining us for this Halloween post party and playing our party games!
If you are a creepy, crawling, creature and you get injured while working tonight then please call our office or send us an inquiry via messenger pigeon as we help all kinds of ghouls!
Otherwise, we wish you all Happy Haunting!🎃
