Happy Star Wars Day everyone!! To help us all celebrate this holiday we thought we would give you some star wars/workers comp crossover trivia! Okay ready? This is where the fun begins!
1)In Episode IV: A New Hope, a bounty hunter named Greedo hired by Jabba the Hutt confronts Han Solo in the Mos Eisley Cantina and tries to take him to Jabba to pay his debt. Han shoots Greedo and kills him. Would Greedo's death qualify as a workers' compensation claim?
2)In Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker loses his hand while fighting Darth Vader for the Rebel Alliance. He ends up getting a prosthetic hand, would that prosthetic be covered by the workers' compensation carrier?
3)In Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, we first see the true face of Darth Sidious (if watching the films in chronological order) and it is rather severely scarred. If that scarring was caused by an altercation during his employment for the Empire, could he be eligible to receive any financial benefit through a workers' compensation claim?
4)In Episode I: The Phantom menace, the Gungans team up with the Naboo to help fight the Trade Federation. Now that they are employed by the Rebel Alliance, would any injuries sustained by Gungans qualify them for temporary disability benefits while they recover and can return to battle?
5)In Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Han Solo's team destroys the shield generator allowing them to blow up the battle station on the forest moon of Endor and injure tons of storm troopers in the process. Would the Empire be responsible for covering all of the workers' compensation claims filed by injured storm troopers?
If you guys didn't know the answers to any of these questions, then you definitely need a workers' comp attorney and should call us if you get hurt at work.
However, if you didn't understand any of these movie references, that is an even bigger issue and you should binge watch them all today in honor of Star Wars Day.
May The Fourth Be With You!
