A New York developer is proposing to build a data center in Union Township.

I represented Saadia Holdings before the Union Township planning commission this week as they presented their proposal for a state of the art Data and AI project in Union that will likely employ over 100 people and have a significant, positive economic impact on our community in the years to come. There will be another planning commission meeting to clarify the project further, followed up by a public Conditional Use Hearing in the coming months.

Our zoning board presided over an enforcement hearing brought by the City last night, with issues of ordinance definition, property owner responsibility, and enforcement remedies. Good job everyone.

Our Zoning Board approved a wonderful community project and non-profit last month that was featured in the New Castle News via the variance procedure. The community shop provides free clothes, appliances, baby supplies and more to those in need. We believed the applicant overcame the unnecessary hardship standard on variance approval by making the approval not run with the land and be limited to the current applicant and non-profit. Very persuasive to our board was that City Hall was full of supporters of the applicant with no one in opposition. Wonderful work April and your team. God Bless.

A New Castle nonprofit will have a new space to call its own after receiving approval from the zoning hearing board on Tuesday.

Next week, I will be arguing a case before the entire nine (9) Judge, En Banc Panel of the Commonwealth Court, at the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, that will air live on TV and online on the Pennsylvania Cable Network on September 16th at 9:30 am.
