When our buying in New Canaan, it has nothing to do with luck.

The happiest clients I’ve worked with usually have one thing in common: they let us in on the real stuff early.

What they can comfortably spend, what they’re worried about, what they secretly want, what they do not want to compromise on, and what would make the whole move feel worth it.

That is the stuff that helps me guide you well before we’re standing in a house trying to make a big decision.

Because when I know what matters to you, I can help you move with more clarity, less second guessing, and a lot more confidence.

If a move is on your mind this year, send me a message. I’d love to help you do it the calm way.

ENGEL TEAM IN NEW CANAAN | OVER THE YEARS

One date. A collection of memories. 🤍

August 26 has brought plenty of firsts, familiar places, family moments, and a few adventures over the years — from first days of school and welcoming new family members to afternoons at Mead Park, time at the Country Club of New Canaan, days at the beach house, and waiting for the tide at Christmas Rock.

These moments are a reminder that New Canaan is more than a place we work — it’s a community where life happens, year after year.

From New Canaan, Connecticut, to the places and people that make it home, we’re grateful to be part of this community and its story.

Same date. Different memories.

What’s one New Canaan memory you’ll always remember? Tell us below.

My job starts long before you ever do a house tour... 😉

By the time you tour a home you're excited about, I've already been working on your behalf behind the scenes.

My job is making sure you know the real story first, why it's actually still sitting on the market and how flexible the sellers really are, so when you do walk in, you're walking in with the full picture.

If you've been thinking about buying and want someone who's already doing that work before you ever step inside, send me a message. I'd love to help.

I'm , a New Canaan local and real estate agent helping people buy and sell in our area. Follow for more real estate tips and local recs.

Moving to New Canaan, CT? Your first 30 days can make all the difference. 🏡

There’s plenty you can learn from a Google search—but some of the things that make New Canaan feel like home are the things no one thinks to tell you before you move.

📩 Get on local email lists. Sign up for town updates, emergency alerts, Recreation Department news, library events, and updates from the New Canaan Nature Center and other local organizations.

☕ Find your “regular” spot. Whether it’s Rosie, Gates, the YMCA, or somewhere else, having a few familiar places where people start recognizing you can make a new town feel a lot more like home.

🤝 Say yes for 30 days. Try the Newcomers Club, local events, community groups, and neighborhood gatherings. Getting involved is one of the fastest ways to build connections in New Canaan.

🛒 Figure out your grocery routine. Learn where to go for a quick trip, where to do your main shopping, and when and where to find the local farmers market.

🛠️ Get your local services lined up. Dentist, doctor, hairdresser, veterinarian—you’ll want your go-to people before you need them, especially as fall calendars start filling up.

🚗 Test your commute during real rush hour. A Sunday drive—or Google Maps estimate—doesn’t always tell the full story. Try your actual weekday morning and afternoon commute before deciding how convenient it will be.

👋 Introduce yourself to your neighbors. It may feel awkward for a few seconds, but knowing the people nearby can make a huge difference when you need a package picked up, a recommendation, or simply a friendly face.

Moving to New Canaan isn’t just about finding a house—it’s about learning how to live like a local.

What would you add to a first 30 days in New Canaan checklist?
