Does A Will Avoid Probate Court

Many people believe having a will keeps their family out of probate court, but that is not always true.

When assets are owned only in one person’s name with no joint owner, beneficiary, or trust attached, those assets often still go through probate.

A will mainly gives the court instructions on who should handle the estate, pay final expenses, and distribute property to the intended heirs.
