I am trying to keep people informed about scam regarding court business. This was released recently:
Notice on Scam Messages Impersonating the Trial Court and the Office of Jury Commissioner
Reports of fake messages claiming unpaid driving tolls, parking tickets, and summonses for jury duty demanding payment and threatening court action
The Massachusetts Trial Court has received reports of fake messages claiming unpaid driving tolls and parking tickets threatening court action, as well as scam text messages falsely stating that individuals have been summoned for jury service and warning of penalties for failure to appear.
The court does not send summonses by text, demand immediate payment, or threaten arrest for unpaid tolls. If you receive such a message, you should not provide personal information or payment. Verify any court notice directly through official Court contact information on Mass.gov.
