“It’s free,” they said.
“It’ll be fun,” they said.
45 minutes into the process you hit a screen asking for your credit card to move forward.
Suddenly that “free” offer does not feel so free.
I think most of us have experienced something like that. Every time it happens it builds another layer of skepticism around words like “free” or “no cost”.
So I get why anyone would hesitate when they hear me say that the VA Loan Advocacy service I offer comes at absolutely no charge to the Veteran.
Slimy sales tactics have conditioned us to expect the ‘catch’.
A Veteran I referred to Tennessee just closed on his home today.
Two months this he called while preparing to move from Colorado. At the time he was trying to figure out who he could trust to help him make the move.
If you haven’t been able to tell, I’ve been making a concerted effort to be a resource Veterans reach out to when they need help building a VA competent Home-Buying team. Even when the move is happening in another state.
When he called, my role was simple. Build the right team around him.
I connected him with Brian Hoffman from MortgageNerds.com - NMLS # 1946237 for the loan. I also interviewed three Realtors in the area before connecting him with Katherine Blazer: Realtor And Mortgage Lender from Dalton Wade Realty.
They turned out to be an outstanding team.
From the loan terms Brian helped secure to the grit, kindness and professionalism Katherine showed throughout the buying process, they delivered exactly the level of service this Veteran deserved.
If you're looking for a fantastic Realtor in the Knoxville area, look no further. Click her name above and contact Katherine.
I stayed in touch with everyone throughout the process simply to make sure the Veteran’s expectations were being met.
Today it all came together.
This photo was taken right after he signed the papers and officially became a homeowner.
If you are a Veteran anywhere in the country and have questions about using your VA loan, I am always happy to help connect you with the right people.
Helping Veterans navigate this benefit matters to me, especially as a fellow Veteran.
And if you know a Veteran who might benefit from having a strong home buying team around them, feel free to send them my way. (share my contact info, social media info, email, etc)
If you understand even only a little bit the value this service can bring both Veterans and Active Duty Service Members I would greatly appreciate a share and follow.
