I completely missed out on National Black Cat Day, yesterday! So here’s to Smudge- our first kitty rescue. We are so grateful found him. He grew up to be an occasionally grumpy guy, but he still loves his nighttime snuggles with mom and sucking on his tail while he purrs. He’s the fearless leader of our five cats (I just learned a group of cats is called a clowder!) and has a forever home with us. Black cats make up 30% of all shelter cats, so if you ever have the chance to take one home, please do!

The years have been long but it was worth it.

This wall reminds me of the last fifteen years, the trials, the errors, the highs and lows. The photos remind me of where I come from, who has been with me on my journey, and the unknown road ahead. My office is my safe space, my haven, and the place I can make a difference.

I’ve been fortunate enough to meet Bill Rutledge and Joe Davis. They’ve taken me under their wings and I’m so grateful for the time and knowledge they’ve shared with me. It is a privilege to work alongside them and the incredible women that keep this place running. It feels like home.

So please, come see me at Rutledge and Davis, and take a load off. Let me help you on your road forward, through your highs and lows. The legal world can be scary, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
