This isn’t a pointless rally, the Asbury Park City Council is involved.

It’s not my style to beg, but I’m begging for your help now, because this is a REAL chance to save the Casino. You can be part of Asbury Park history.

The Asbury Park City Council will hear from the public July 8 about whether to file suit to retake the Casino.

To prepare the public with talking points, SOS-Asbury Park is hosting me at a public ZOOM June 30, where I’ll discuss the recent retired Supreme Court Justice Lee Solomon’s opinion on how we can retake the Casino, Carousel and Heating Plant for only $1.5 million with a lawsuit. We are partnering with Attorney Thomas De Seno, who will break down, in plain language, what retired NJ Supreme Court Justice Lee Solomon actually said about the Casino contracts, how it creates a legal path to recover the Casino. PLEASE SHARE: TO LEND YOUR HELP IN SAVING ASBURY PARK'S CASINO, DON'T MISS THE JULY 8 COUNCIL MEETING.

Attached is an explainer detailing how Justice Solomon found the City can default the developer and repurchase the Casino, but the City issued an incorrect press release claiming the Justice said we cannot.

If you would like to make remarks at the meeting, please use this explainer to help you prepare. If you want help, please call me at 848-863-8800. Also, the group "Save our Structures - Asbury Park" is helpful with information. They can be reached at [email protected].

Even if you don't wish to speak, please bring as many to the meeting as you can, to show the City we won't be gaslit by the phony press release, and we will kick out the do-nothing developer who let the Casino rot for 24 years.

If you ever asked, "Why don't they do something," now is your best chance to help us do something by showing up with your support. We hope to see you at the City Council meeting on July 8.

I am pleased to announce the City of Asbury Park has agreed to have a retired New Jersey jurist review my contentions that the City can take back the Casino, and review the redevelopment contract, to opine if that is correct. Accordingly, I have updated my research to address the developer's contentions directly. In the update, you will find many times Madison Marquette published actual plans to develop the Casino, then backed out. The plans are interesting.
