Did you know the reason his contract was so great was because Mets ownership believed money they had invested would outpace this debt substantially.

The problem was the money was invested with Bernie Madoff!

Happy Bobby Bonilla Deferral Day: Bonilla is set to collect another $1.193 million from the New York Mets today, as he will each July 1st through the year 2035.

It is almost impossible to play youth baseball at this point without buying from Dick’s.

Here’s what it takes to survive another year of Little League these days. There are sleek composite bats that cost up to $450. There are training bats, wood bats, torpedo bats and backpacks to carry them.

Plus, gloves, helmets, elbow guards, leg protectors, arm sleeves, sliding mitts, cleats, turf shoes, the coolest sunglasses, Bruce Bolt batting gloves, fluorescent batting grips, socks, pants, belts and garments known simply as “ice-cream shorts.”

Also, headbands. Do kids really need a headband if they are always wearing a hat or helmet? Don’t be ridiculous. Of course they do.

Baseball hasn’t looked the same since a minor tweak in Major League Baseball’s rulebook before the 2019 season loosened the color restrictions on player cleats. The effects of that deregulation have now trickled all the way down to Little Leaguers, who race to get their hands on the latest, hottest equipment.

When a sick bat comes out, it sells out almost instantly. There is so much demand for these hunks of carbon fiber that bats have entered the stratosphere of products known in the retail industry as “high heat.”

And all that heat isn’t cheap. Parents have never spent more time and money on youth sports—or at this sports juggernaut.

Way

We took a little sabbatical from social media for the holidays, but wanted to share our office holiday party at IVE! At Opryland

Walking through the frozen scenes, bundling up in the blue parkas, and seeing all the Peanuts characters carved out of ice really made it feel like Christmas. Definitely one of our favorite holiday memories. 🎄💙

Also, enjoy our holiday voicemail!

📢 How Do Protective Orders Affect Child Custody in Tennessee?
When an Order of Protection is involved, custody and visitation decisions can become complicated and stressful. These orders are designed to protect victims of domestic violence, stalking, or abuse—but they can also impact parenting time and decision-making rights.

✅ In Tennessee, protective orders may:

Limit or suspend visitation for the accused parent

Require supervised visitation to ensure child safety

Influence custody decisions based on the child’s best interests

If you’re facing a situation involving a protective order and child custody, don’t navigate it alone. The stakes are high for your safety and your child’s well-being. Speak with an experienced Nashville family law attorney today.
