Waymo - yes or no?
Today was a trial run.decided to try it.
Definitely fun and a little freaky!

Watching the steering wheel turn by itself and seeing the computer screen map every car, pedestrian, and object around us felt like something straight out of The Jetsons.

A few highlights...
The seat belt. It kept dinging because we were trying to buckle into the middle buckle.
Improvement for Waymo, it could have simply said, "Wrong buckle!" 😂

Pick up after lunch: it slowly drove past us. There was Deanne —in high heels—doing a little jog to catch the driverless car. 😂 It finally stopped about 50 feet ahead.
Conclusion: We figured it wanted a safer pickup spot because of a landscaping truck and workers nearby.

The "driver" seemed very confident in its choices. That was a little creepy too. The urge to help with some "back seat driving" was hard to resist.
And...made Deanne a little woozy sitting in the back.

Overall? If I lived downtown, I'd probably use it all the time.
