Some closings are business. This one is personal. I had the privilege of representing a client who is like a brother, to me in the purchase of a luxury home in Brentwood. The search had plenty of twists and turns, and when the right property finally came along, we were up against multiple offers. We stayed the course, competed hard, and made it to the finish line. Nashville Just Posted a Record $11.6 Billion Tourism Year, and Visitors Generated Nearly $1.2 Billion in Taxes

That means visitors were spending about $31.8 million every single day in Davidson County.

The numbers:

• $11.6 billion in visitor spending
• 17.4 million visitors
• $715.8 million in state tax revenue
• $477.8 million in local tax revenue
• Nearly $1.2 billion in combined taxes
• $3.2 billion in labor income
• Roughly 74,000 leisure and hospitality workers
• Nashville accounted for about 35% of all tourism spending in Tennessee

Tourism Economics estimates the average Nashville household would need to pay about $3,674 more per year to replace the tax revenue generated by visitors if that spending disappeared.

And 2026 could be even bigger…

Tourism Economics projects Nashville visitor spending will reach about $12.2 billion this year, another roughly $600 million increase on top of a record setting 2025.

With the new Nissan Stadium nearing completion, BNA still expanding and the 2030 Super Bowl on the horizon, Nashville’s tourism economy may still have a lot more room to run.
