NOT GUILTY. 🏛️

Huge congratulations to Seth Dobieski for securing a complete acquittal for our client in the Rockingham County Superior Court!

Our client was falsely accused of sexual assault and has spent a long time fighting to prove their innocence. Today, the jury agreed. We couldn't be happier for our client and the start of their new chapter.

Seth’s experience as a former prosecutor gives him a unique edge in the courtroom, and it showed in this trial. Fantastic work, Seth!

🎉 Big Congratulations to Attorney Jilian Pfeifer, Esq.! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to announce that our talented family law associate, Jill Pfeiffer, just won her first appeal before the New Hampshire Supreme Court — and what a win it was.

In this case, Jill represented a father who had been awarded child support. On appeal, the mother argued that the child support order was improper because (1) the parenting plan did not award the father parenting time with both children, and (2) the trial court incorrectly calculated his income.

We strongly disagreed — and so did the Supreme Court.

The Court rejected both arguments, holding that:

✔️ The father had equal parenting rights and a shared parenting schedule with both children; and

✔️ The trial court properly calculated his income for child support purposes.

Appellate victories matter. They not only protect our client’s outcome — they reinforce the integrity of the law and trial court decisions when they are properly decided.

Jill’s preparation, attention to detail, and commitment to her client in both the trial court and on appeal made the difference. We couldn’t be prouder of her advocacy and her dedication to families navigating difficult transitions.

The Boston Globe recently published an article examining the murder-suicide in Berlin, NH, and the role of cash bail in that tragedy:

Attorney Naro spoke with the Globe about the importance of evaluating outcomes like this one thoughtfully and fairly. When tragedy strikes, it’s appropriate to scrutinize how our systems function — but it’s also essential to speak up when members of the judiciary are unfairly vilified for doing work that demands balance, restraint, and fidelity to the Constitution.

In cases like this, judicial decisions should be assessed based on the facts available at the time and the legal standards that apply — not in hindsight, and not through political pressure.

A fair and functional criminal justice system depends on judges, attorneys, and all participants upholding the rights of the accused — even when doing so carries risk. That principle matters, especially in the most difficult cases.
