Florida condominium associations must register with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (“DBPR”) by October 1, 2025. This requirement, created by House Bill 913 and now part of Florida Statutes §718.501(3) is designed to improve transparency and oversight.

What Condominium Associations Must Do:

1. Create and maintain an online DBPR account
2. Submit required association and building information, including:

•Association name, mailing address, board members’ names/titles, and community association manager’s contact information
•Building details (age, number of units, number of stories, and any common element construction commenced within the calendar year)
•Assessment rates, reserves, and special assessments
•Association website link (if applicable)
•Structural Integrity Reserve Study (SIRS) status
•Names of financial institutions holding association accounts

IMPORTANT: Any updates to this information must be entered into the DBPR portal within 30 days.
