First place for WPL! 

Our team from Woodward, Pires & Lombardo, P.A. participated in the Collier County Bar Association (CCBA) Golf Tournament and took home first place!

The tournament brought members of the legal community together for a day of golf, friendly competition, and connection. The CCBA supports the local legal community through professional development, networking, and initiatives that benefit the Southwest Florida community.

September was a busy month at WPL.
From celebrating new beginnings to supporting our Southwest Florida community, we had plenty to be proud of this month.

We welcomed Lindsay B. Cohen as Of Counseland congratulated Rachel C. Lane and Derek J. Di Crescienzo on passing the Florida Bar and joining WPL as Associate Attorneys. We also supported Christian Woodward’s Eagle Scout project, which brought new lifeguard stands to Vanderbilt Beach.

This month, we also participated in Mission Possible: The Power of Purpose, where Christopher Lombardo spoke on the benefits of having an attorney on a nonprofit board, while continuing to celebrate attorney recognitions, firm updates, and community involvement throughout Southwest Florida.

Thank you to our clients, colleagues, community partners, and friends for being part of another great month at WPL. We’re looking forward to what October brings.

Woodward, Pires & Lombardo, P.A. was one of the sponsors supporting Christian Woodward, an eighth-grade Eagle Scout candidate with Troop 2001, in his project to build two lifeguard stands for Vanderbilt Beach.

The project took more than a year to complete, with approximately $10,000 in materials used for each lifeguard stand. Christian raised donations and secured donated materials, then spent the summer working with fellow scouts, family, friends, and adults to build the stands. The completed stands provide lifeguards with a higher vantage point to better monitor the surf and respond to potential water hazards or emergencies.

On August 20, 2026, WPL’s Christopher Lombardo participated as one of the event’s speakers at Hilton Naples, hosted by the Above Board Chamber of Florida. WPL was also proud to support the event as a Silver Sponsor.

Congratulations to Rachel C. Lane on passing the Florida Bar Examination and joining Woodward, Pires & Lombardo, P.A. as an Associate Attorney!

Rachel is based in WPL’s Naples office, where her practice focuses on land use, local government, and business law.

Rachel earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tampa and her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. During law school, she served as a student attorney in the Medical Legal Partnership Clinic and interned at the Second District Court of Appeal for the Honorable Judge Stevan T. Northcutt. She also served as an Online Editor for the Journal of Law & Policy, a Project Coordinator for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, and was inducted into the Pro Bono Honor Society.

Outside the office, Rachel enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring Southwest Florida.

We are proud to welcome Rachel as an Associate Attorney and look forward to all she will accomplish at WPL. Congratulations, Rachel!

Congratulations to Derek J. Di Crescienzo on passing the Florida Bar and becoming an Associate Attorney at Woodward, Pires & Lombardo, P.A.! 

Derek focuses his practice on family law and civil litigation. A New Jersey native, he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Montclair State University and his Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida.

Derek began his journey with WPL as an intern in October 2025 and continued working with the firm throughout law school. After graduating, he successfully passed the Florida Bar Examination in July 2026 on his first attempt and joined WPL as an Associate Attorney.

We are proud to celebrate this accomplishment and look forward to seeing all that Derek will accomplish in this next chapter of his legal career. Congratulations, Derek!
