"A federal bankruptcy judge ruled Friday that wrongful death lawsuits against Camp Mystic may resume on Nov. 9, lifting a pause that was put on the claims after the camp's owners filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy relief in June.

More than a dozen families are suing the all-girls Christian summer camp and its owners, the Eastland family, after catastrophic flooding in July 2025 killed 25 campers and two counselors. One of the camp's owners and executive director, Dick Eastland, also died during the flooding." K*T Austin

"Americans are drinking less, but that still wasn’t enough to save this nonalcoholic beverage brand.

Hoplark, the Boulder, Colorado-based maker of hop waters, sparkling teas, and other alcohol-free drinks, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on August 28, 2026, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado, according to court records.

The petition lists about $2.07 million in assets against roughly $5.9 million in liabilities, including more than $1.1 million in secured debt owed to Brooklyn Brewery and more than $4.68 million in unsecured claims spread across 74 creditors.

It’s a surprising turn for a business that had previously found success."

One of Dal Lago Law’s clients was featured in a recent American Bankruptcy Institute article highlighting a favorable ruling in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy matter.

The court determined that operating under a new trade name did not constitute an incurable nonmonetary breach of the debtor’s lease, allowing the debtor the opportunity to cure the default and preserve important rights under the lease.

Dal Lago Law represented the debtor in the matter.
