🇺🇸 RESERVISTS: This career opportunity may be worth knowing about.
A lot of Soldiers still assume you have to completely retire from the military before becoming an Army JROTC instructor.
That is no longer the case.
Actively serving Army Reserve and National Guard members in TPU status may be eligible to become JROTC instructors while continuing to serve.
Current Army eligibility includes:
• NCOs: E-6 through E-9
• Warrant Officers: W-1 through W-5
• Officers: O-3 through O-6
• At least 8 years of cumulative honorable service
• Commander recommendation
• Current DA Form 5016 or NGB 23A
• Additional Army and local school requirements may apply
For the right Soldier, that creates an interesting combination:
🏫 Teach leadership and citizenship to the next generation
🪖 Continue serving in the Reserve or Guard
💼 Build a civilian career that directly values military experience
