We're hiring! Spread the word ...

We are looking for an excellent experienced real estate paralegal and a great candidate for an executive assistant.

We're particularly interested in a proven, dedicated paralegal who prioritizes client and agent service and communication. If sounds like you, or if you've worked with someone you love who is looking for a change, please reach out!

Please do not apply for the paralegal position if you do not have substantial experience in residential real estate transactions in Northern Illinois.

Today’s real estate transactions are more flexible than ever, thanks to remote closings and virtual notarizations. These innovations allow buyers and sellers to complete closings securely and efficiently, no matter where they are located.

The strong preference in Illinois is still for in-person, local closings with buyers and sellers signing with "wet ink." Remote closings are still gaining steam in Illinois and there's a decent amount of resistance to the technology, but our firm is well-versed with options for our clients who no longer reside locally.

Swipe through to learn how remote closing options work and how they can benefit your next transaction ↩️

If you’re planning a move, our legal team is available to support you in the process. Reach out anytime.

You signed a real estate contract to sell or purchase a new home! Now what?!? Real estate contracts are full of legal details that can significantly impact your rights and obligations, both now and in the future. From contingencies and deadlines to disclosures and financing terms, it is essential to know exactly what you have agreed to. Most of the time in Illinois, you will have a five-day attorney review period to discuss and evaluate the contract with our office.

If you are signing a contract with an investor, to purchase a new construction home, or another non-standard contract, please contact us to review the terms BEFORE you sign it, because there may not be an attorney review period.

When entering into a purchase agreement or sale, our firm can help you protect your investment with confidence. Give us a call today.

We understand that thinking about the future, especially the difficult parts, is never easy. But taking time to plan ahead is one of the most compassionate and caring steps you can take for the people you love.

When someone passes away without a will (legally known as dying “intestate”), it can create confusion, conflict, and unintended consequences for their loved ones.

Here are five important things that can happen without a will:

1️⃣ The state decides who gets what - Your assets are distributed based on state law, which may leave out important people in your life like unmarried partners or close friends.
2️⃣ The probate process gets longer and more expensive - Without a will, your estate goes through a lengthy court process. This can delay access to funds and increase stress for your family.
3️⃣ The court appoints a guardian and a custodian for your children - If you have minor children and haven’t named either, the decision is left to the court, often without knowing your preferences.
4️⃣ Family disagreements may turn into legal disputes - When there’s no clear plan, misunderstandings can turn into serious conflicts among family members.
5️⃣ Pets and dependents may be overlooked - Without specific instructions, pets and other dependents might not receive the care you intended.

If you’re ready to take the next step, our team is here to help you create a plan that reflects your wishes and protects the people you love. Please contact us today.
