Can’t find it on Zillow? Chicagoland sellers may not care.
After MRED removed Zillow’s access to local listing data, many Chicagoland homes are no longer appearing on Zillow but buyers are still finding homes through brokerage websites, the MLS, Realtor.com, Redfin, Homes.com, and agent networks.
In Naperville alone, Zillow showed 322 listings while .com showed 533 listings on the same day.
The conversation is shifting: sellers and brokerages want control over how homes are marketed, not dictated by a third-party platform.

Most buyers focus on the kitchen finishes, paint colors, and staging… but experienced buyers agents know to also look outside 👀🌳
Mature trees can absolutely add beauty, shade, and privacy to a property — but they can also come with risks if they’re too close to the home.
Things I always point out during showings:
▫️ Large roots near the foundation
▫️ Heavy branches hanging over the roof
▫️ Older trees that may become hazards during storms
This doesn’t mean buyers should avoid homes with mature trees. It simply means understanding the maintenance and protecting your investment long term 🏡
The details matter — and having the right agent matters too.
