🏖️ HAPPY NATIONAL BEACH DAY! ☀️🌊

Some people love the beach enough to visit. Some of us love it enough to move here!

After years of vacationing along the coast, we finally decided we didn’t want to keep leaving it. We traded vacations at the beach for life at the beach — and we’ve never looked back.

Now I get to help other people who are dreaming about doing the very same thing. So yes… National Beach Day feels a little personal around here. ❤️😎🌴

Meet DOLLY! ❤️The Ocean Isle Beach Sea Turtle Protection Organization (OIBSTPO) is an established nonprofit sea-turtle conservation group. They’ve been monitoring and protecting nests on Ocean Isle Beach since 1984, and they’re part of North Carolina’s organized sea-turtle monitoring effort. Ocean Isle is about 35-40 miles from Myrtle Beach.

Their people patrol the beach, locate and document nests, relocate nests when necessary, monitor nests and hatchlings, respond to stranded/injured turtles, and help transport turtles for rehabilitation. They also educate visitors and work on reducing artificial-light problems that can send hatchlings in the wrong direction.

Dolly is a tiny turtle with a whole lot of personality—sweet, sassy, sparkling, and completely unforgettable! She may be small, but she has a big heart and even bigger dreams. Like her namesake, she’s got a little extra shine, a whole lot of charm, and she’s ready to make waves! 🌊✨
