We are a Southern California law firm focused on animal rights and animal welfare. At Ryther Law Group, our attorneys have a combined 22 years of litigation experience. We were contacted regarding an animal control case where Kobi required legal representation against City of Milpitas. Kobi’s extended family rallied around him. It was lovely to see siblings and family members come together to help and defend Kobi against the allegations. Our team, led by attorney Autumn Williams, not only defended Kobi in his case against animal control but also secured a complete dismissal, resulting in zero restrictions for Kobi and the return of the family’s money.

We are so proud of Autumn, and so thankful for her commitment to defending animal control cases with such tenacity. The animals are lucky to have you, Autumn, and so are we!

As you can see in the photos, Kobi is so happy to be home and celebrated his 6th birthday with a Britain-themed party! We think he looks quite dapper, indeed!

Seeing Kobi celebrated, loved, and worry-free inspires our team and keeps us focused on securing similar results in the next animal control case that comes our way.

Sweet Jadarah was held for two months by Fontana Animal Services despite not being involved in the alleged incident. We are so grateful to report that yesterday, she finally went home.

However, upon coming home Jadarah is in heartbreaking condition. She is suffering from an ear infection, an infected laceration behind her front leg, and a believed fungal infection on her paws. She has also lost an alarming amount of weight; her spine is now protruding. Even worse, Jadarah was released covered in urine and f***s.

Her canine brother, Messiah, is still there and we are working around the clock to free him as well as our concern for his well-being and the shelter’s conditions grows. Our clients were denied visiting Messiah
and were not provided with a substantive update about his condition despite their requests.

It breaks our hearts to think of her canine brother, Messiah, who has cancer, still remaining in such horrific conditions and without Jadarah.

We won’t stop until he is safely home as well.

Ryther Law Group is so proud to have represented and defended Percy and her family in a neighbor dispute, which our team resolved. 

Seeing Percy settled and safe at home with her family continues to inspire us to defend animals facing legal action, especially from those with less than pure motives! 

Cases like Percy’s, and all the dog bite allegation cases we take on, truly remind us that situations like these could happen to anyone.

Our client’s dog, Albondigas, faced extensive terms and conditions, or worse, a potential death sentence at the hands of San Jose Animal Control following an incident in which he was clearly provoked.

RLG, LLP, led by Attorney Autumn Williams, saved Albondigas’s from this fate by representing him and his family in their dangerous dog hearing.

Thanks to this defense, Albondigas gets to live his life at home with his family under no terms and conditions because the hearing officer properly recognized the provocation which occurred.

Just another day at RLG & EARN 🐈

When our team members get together for meetings you never know who is going to show up but we can always guarantee they’ll be an adorable animal present. 🐶 🐱

We recently met to discuss our current pro and low bono cases and rescue kitty Cinnamon showed up on camera to assist her mom Attorney Jill Ryther.

Together EARN and RLG currently have 32 active pro bono and low bono cases! 🎉

32 families and rescue organizations would not have access to legal representation for their animals without our discounted assistance. We fear to think what would happen to these animals if we could not provide low-cost or free legal services for them.
