๐ก๐บ๐ธ A CHANCE MEETING THAT LED HOME ๐บ๐ธ๐ก
This is a little longer than my usual posts, but this story is worth telling. ๐
You just never know where a real estate connection is going to come from.
Back in July, for several weeks, I had this nagging feeling that I needed to hand my real estate flyer to a police officer. Every time I saw an officer, I would think about it and then blow it off like, โOkay, Rodneyโฆthatโs crazy.โ ๐
Then one day in July, I stopped at the Circle K at Rutherford Boulevard and Manchester Highway to get some gas before heading to an open house at 4106 Suntropic Lane in Murfreesboro TN.
I got out of my vehicle and there stood a police officer in uniform.
I said to myself, okay, LordโฆI'm doing it this time! ๐
That officer was Sean Pride.
I noticed Sean was talking with a lady at the fuel pumps, so I was a little hesitant to interrupt. I later found out she was his mom. I walked over, handed Sean my real estate flyer, and simply asked him to pass it along to anyone he knew who might be thinking about buying or selling a home.
I didn't think much more about it. In fact, I certainly wasn't thinking I had just handed my flyer to my next buyer!
A little while later, I was inside the store when Sean walked up to me in his blue police uniform and caught me completely off guard.
He told me he had actually been thinking about buying a home sometime in the near future.
We exchanged information, and the rest is history.
Sean is an active-duty member of the U.S. military, a Murfreesboro Police Officer, and a single father raising his daughter. He continues to serve our country while also serving and protecting our community, and now he's added another important milestone to his journey: becoming a homeowner. ๐บ๐ธ๐ก
And here's the part I really love about this business: Sean didn't end up purchasing 4106 Suntropic Lane, the home I was headed to show that day for my open house.
But that didn't matter.
The goal was never about selling him that particular house. It was about helping him find the right home.
And nowโฆ he's HOME! ๐๐ก
It was also special to be there at closing with Sean and Kayla and see the excitement as everything finally came together. Those are the moments that make this business so rewarding.
A special thank-you to one of my lenders, Roy Paeth, for helping Sean navigate the financing process and helping us get to the closing table. Roy is also a veteran, so having two veterans working together to make this happen made this transaction even more meaningful. ๐บ๐ธ
Congratulations, Sean! It was an honor to be part of your journey. I'm grateful that a simple stop for gasoline, a flyer I almost didn't hand out, and a little nudge that I couldn't quite explain turned into an opportunity to help you and your daughter find a place to call home.
Thank you for your continued service to our country, your service to Murfreesboro, and congratulations to you, Kayla, and your daughter on this exciting new chapter! โค๏ธ๐ก๐บ๐ธ
And by the way... 4106 Suntropic Lane is still available!
If you're looking for a home in Murfreesboro, give me a call. You never know where your next homeโand your next chapterโmight be waiting.
