Attended my first MLT chamber of commerce meeting last night and left feeling invigorated and excited, even more than usual. 😆 I got connected with some new volunteer opportunities and met many amazing business owners. I’m looking forward to participating even more within the Mountlake Terrace community that I call home.

For the last few years I’ve volunteered for the Neighborhood Park Improvement Subcommittee as the liaison for this park and I am SO EXCITED to announce our new playground has been chosen! Thanks to those who rallied, voted, and supported the efforts 🤩 🚒

🚒 The new playground at Firefighters Memorial is set to be installed this summer! With that, there are a few tasks our Parks crew will be tackling in the coming weeks to ready the site for install. The first task is to remove the old firetruck on Wednesday, June 3 due to failed safety tests. Depending on the condition of the structure, the City plans to evaluate whether certain parts can be preserved to be placed in the park as historical art pieces in the future.
