Join the City of Mount Vernon for a full day of Halloween fun on Saturday, October 31!

The excitement starts at 2 p.m. with a free screening of Hocus Pocus at the Schnormeier Event Center.

Afterwards, head over to the Public Square for the Scare on the Square costume parade. Parade lineup begins at 4:20 p.m. next to the Grand Hotel before the Mayor officially kicks things off at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye out right after the parade at 5 p.m., when the iconic Headless Horseman makes a special appearance to lead downtown trick-or-treating down East High Street!

Citywide trick-or-treat runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. across Mount Vernon. Road closures around Public Square and down East High Street will start around 4 p.m. to keep everyone safe, so drivers should take extra care while families are out enjoying the night.
