*Major Michigan Medicaid Update*

Effective February 2025, the State of Michigan has more than quadrupled the countable asset limit for Michigan Medicaid recipients. This increase also applies to Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).

This change provides more liquidity to those needing nursing care to pay expenses on otherwise exempt assets, like their home and car, which oftentimes had to be sold due to lack of funds to pay taxes, insurance, and maintenance.
