District Courts are closed this week in Burke, Caldwell, and Catawba Counties. Cases will be rescheduled by the clerk’s office so make sure to check for your court date next week.

Superior court in Catawba is cancelled for the week as well. Superior Court in Burke is cancelled for Monday but no decision about the rest of the week.

Our office will be open in a limited capacity this week and we will try to keep scheduled appointments. We have some ability to call out, but we cannot get calls in until we have internet back in our buildings.

For real estate closings this week, we are going to try and stay on schedule. What we can do (and how quickly we can finalize a closing) is limited by our access to the register of deeds, internet and email communications with the banks, and cloud-based software. We will reach out if we need to reschedule.
