LOS ANGELES COUNTY JUDICIAL ELECTIONS MARCH 5: as always, I offer what insights I have for the judicial candidates, and where I have no personal knowledge or experience, I defer to the Los Angeles County Bar Association judicial ratings, link at the bottom of this message.
Candidates I know or have experience with: Office 130: I personally know Chris Darden and support his candidacy for Superior Court judge. Yes, he's the "glove doesn't fit" prosecutor from the OJ case (for those of us old enough to remember that), but I knew him before that when I worked at the DA's office. He's a diligent and competent guy who tries to get it right. LA County Bar seems to agree, rating him as Well Qualified. I support his candidacy. Office 137: Michael Berg--I have some experience with this candidate, neither positive or negative. I believe he'd make a competent judge. He's rated as Qualified. I have passing experience with a few of the other candidates but not enough to provide a meaningful recommendation. Here's the link to the LA County Bar judicial candidate ratings:
