The Firm would like to congratulate Attorney Jones on completing the Army Direct Commission Course as well as the Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course 🎉 Attorney Jones is a 1LT Judge Advocate in the Alabama Army National Guard.
It's with GREAT excitement the firm announces our founding attorney, Kristine Jones, is now 1LT. Jones in the United States Army Alabama National Guard JAG Corps. She is very happy to be serving her country as a citizen soldier in the JAG Corps. A commitment to serving others is a cornerstone of Attorney Jones' philosophy and this new journey of public service will be no different. The Firm celebrated it's 3rd anniversary on January 2, 2021! Over the past year, Attorney Jones provided legal representation for over 100 clients in custody, divorce, child support, alimony, juvenile, small claims, garnishments, wills, and landlord/tenant matters. Additionally, she helped provide free legal representation throughout the year for many cases/legal clinics via the Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program.

Q: How can I go about getting temporarily custody or guardianship of my granddaughter?
“I have had my granddaughter most of the year except about a month or so. The mother really been in and out of her daughter's life and the father don't have no time for her. They both have child neglect charges from their first child. I live in Alabama. I can not get the father to give me any of my granddaughters information at all. She has not even had shots since she was about 4 months old. Do I have a chance to get temporarily custody/guardianship of her? What steps do I need to take?”
